Shepherd is one of the figures of speech mentioned in the Bible to describe God. Both in the OT and the NT, God is the good shepherd. Jesus in his public ministry stated many times, “I am the good shepherd.” Jesus talks about his shepherding heart also talks about the thief or a robber, in other words, they are the wicked shepherds. Through this message, we are going to discern by God’s grace as to who is the wicked shepherds, so that our lives are protected and safe. We will also look at the condition of the sheep and the true nature of the good shepherd, Jesus. As we reflect on the profound truths revealed in John 10, we are reminded of the immense love and care of our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. He not only lays down his life for us but also leads us into abundant life. Let us heed his voice, follow him faithfully, and experience the fullness of life he offers.
